Re the pull pass, ie a pass where the ball is passed back at a significant angle to a deep runner (45 degrees for example), the passer would need to turn their shoulders further than is illustrated in the first clip and pass off the other foot - for a pass to the left, pass off the right foot. This enables the hips and shoulders to turn more towards the receiver facilitating the deeper pass.
A good example and explanation of the technique can be seen here: http://www.playrugbyleague.com.au/Coaching/coachingcentre/skillscentre/skills/runningpass.php
It looks old fashioned but it works.

WRT: Rucking - 1 v 1 Clean Out
interesting to note that these young (?) players are being coached to bridge.

cjp, I'm not doubting the effectiveness of the RL-style pass, but I have a few questions as to how it applies to RU.
First, why would you want to pass it to a player that deep, other than in specific set move situations?
Also, if you use this technique, doesn't it limit your options to only be able to make that one pass -- if would be very difficult to "show and go" (dummy)?
Lastly, and don't you "fall off" your pass, going away from your support line?
