I think this clip includes some interesting thoughts on the importance of a player's personal, as well as skills development. It's from Aussie RL coach Wayne Goldsmith. I'd appreciate your comments and suggestions about how you develop players beyond straightforward rugby skills.

Very interesting indeed, especially when one considers how amazingly high the skill and fitness levels are in AFL. Remarkable that they can devote so much time to these aspects and commendable that they do. At the senior level, I know some NRL teams have programs for their own players, educational stuff, links with local colleges, courses etc to equip the players for life after footie (the average career being about 4 years).
