| Hi Guys, I am an U9`s coach and we have been invited to play in an Anglo Welsh Festival held at Wrexham next month. I have heard Welsh Rugby play slightly different rules, no scrums, no lineouts and kicking only in own 22m. Are these correct or have they been changed just for that Festival !! Will it mean we will be playing on full size pitches if we can kick in our 22m. It would be great if someone connected to Wrexham could let me know what rules we will be playing so we can prepare our players. Cheers, Charles.

| It is not full size pitches. The 22m is a probably 10m. Otherwise it is free passes to restart games.

| Just a thought in passing about mini rugby. I have a colleague at another club who is convinced that by starting youngsters playing on half/quarter pitches we are programming them to run into people as there is not a lot of space, where as if they play on full size pitches, they learn about space, both in attack and defence, and it takes away some of the dominance of the teams with a few big 'boshers', as the opposition has the space to avoid them when they have the ball
