| I wasn't part of the nomination panel that put players forward for county/the SOR. It was all a closely guarded secret. From the mutterings I've heard candidates who failed to get in were not informed as to the reasons why. I would imagine that the selectors would have to write a lot of letters, something not feasible. If the club has been informed then I shall endeavour to send parents in that direction.

well... I'm not a SoR coach ... but I don't think its good enough to knock players back from a trial without giving them a go-forward plan. It just goes with the territory. It what we did as county coaches after trials, and there were a LOT of guys that didn;t get in the squad (mainly cos they were put forward by coaches that hadn't read the nomination criteria...)
