Happy Friday everyone...
We are moving to playing 7's in our schools, complete with multiple inter-school tournaments, etc.  We will have mostly Mini, Midi & Youth Rugby age categories represented...ie. U10 -> U16.  We have always based our regular full-side league in the English RFU Continuum.

But have looked for a 7's 'Continuum' on the English RFU site, but nothing there.
Any other ideas, thoughts?

Wookie

Wookie,

As far as I know there is no 'continuum' for 7's. As 7's is regarded as a summer sport I am assuming that you are looking to play 7's through the summer as you are looking to structure a league format. But the RFU continuum states:

"The Mini-Midi Rugby season starts on 1 September each year. Fixtures and Festivals may only take place during the period commencing on the 5th Sunday of the season and ending on the Mayday Bank Holiday Monday. Outside this period, players may only participate in training and recruitment initiatives."

So if you are following the continuum then theu10-12's should not participate

However if you are loking for 7's during the season, there are guidelines for modified 7's games, including uncontested scrums etc......

Sorry if I have got hold of the wrong end of the stick!
