After a long winter without any matches and loosing training nights, and a very though season, I want to ensure we build on our team spirit over the coming weeks. I have found that playing team building style games very help full in the past but I don't want to use the same games over and over again.

Has anyone any games for me to try or anywhere in can find some on the old Tinternet.

why dont you try searching for a book called silver bullets by karl rohnke i think his name is.

its old school but outdoor instrutors who consider team building to be of utmost importance to their job swear by it.

you could easily adapt some of the games with rugby balls... just use a bit of initiative!

Thanks Mike, I've been reading karl rohnke's material through the week and I'm going to use alot of his ideas through the season. I tried a few bit on wednesday and if nothing else, we all had a real good laugh.

Could you (or anybody) recommend anyone else, I like to see and try a cross section before making my mind up.

Here is one exercise I saw the German Women's coach use this weekend (and to great effect):

Put the players in two lines facing each other. Have the players link hands with the opposite person, so their left hand clasps the others left hand, and right with right. Have the players form a staircase, with one end of the lines lower than the other.

Another player, with no boots, or trainers on travels up the stairs.

The players have to be bound strongly, and close together to support the player as they make their way up the stairs.
