Doing this certainly helped to ensure all kids got a touch of the ball. We had loads that day!!!.

RE: Indoor training

Dynamic work such as Ladders, hurdles (SAQ) type work to develop footwork?

If you have access to mats in the hall, how about some grippling/wrestling?

Handling and decision making - 2v1's, 3v2's....

Basic handling games, including basketball/zone or end ball etc.....

Communication practices - being in a closed environment a lot of noise is generated, so effective/efficent communication practices could/should be used.

If all else fails - circuit training

RE: Indoor training

Hi Russ,

Lots of pairs work would be good. Access to skipping ropes, evasion belts, ladders for fast feet work would be handy. Work with tennis balls for handling drills. There's a great press-up exercise moving a tennis ball from lhand>small of back>rhand>small of back>lhand for core control. Lying face up-throw ball-get up and catch is also v useful.

Indoors is a great opportunity to do or use stuff that you haven't seen since pre-season. Great way of checking their skills and fitness levels too.

PW

Indoor training

Dan

Any thoughts on indoor sessions, sports hall hard surface during the bad weather period.

Circuit training, handling, some games any ideas for these
