Indoor rugby training session using circuits
If your rugby pitch is just too water-logged or icy to play on, it's time to use an indoor training space to keep your players fit and up-to-speed on their rugby skills. One of the best ways to do this is to use circuits, as it allows a lot of players to work hard in a small area on a variety of skills.
Rugby drill set up
- Have at least ten work stations.
- The players should work for 30 to 45 seconds on each station in pairs, then move on.
- With ten work stations, that works out at about 20 minutes of activity, including change-over time.
- Swap the pairs around after one circuit and repeat your rugby drills, before finishing off with a game of touch, or rugby netball.

Organise your players into more than two teams, and have them play intensely for no more than two minutes before swapping teams over.
